Marcio Sgarbi

Brazilian & Italian Real Estate Advisor · Florianópolis, Brazil

Hi, I’m Marcio Sgarbi. I’m a Brazilian and Italian real estate advisor based in Florianópolis, Brazil. Before entering real estate, I built my career as an environmental engineer, graduating from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS).

My international journey began during university when I studied in Italy as an exchange student. Later, I joined a Working Holiday program in Australia before returning to Brazil to complete my degree. After getting married, my wife and I spent two years living in London — years that shaped the way I communicate, solve problems, and understand the expectations of clients from different cultures. Today, I’m fluent in English and regularly work with buyers and investors from around the world.

My transition into real estate happened naturally. Going through the process of selling our own apartment firsthand gave me a completely different perspective — I realized how important it is to have an advisor who is knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely committed to protecting a client’s interests. That experience inspired me to become a real estate professional.

What sets me apart is the combination of technical expertise and international perspective. My engineering background allows me to evaluate properties with a critical eye, understand construction quality, analyze long-term value, and approach negotiations strategically. Having lived abroad, I also understand the questions, concerns, and expectations international buyers often have when investing in Brazil.

Above all, I believe trust is the foundation of every successful transaction. My goal is to help clients make informed, confident decisions — whether they’re purchasing a beachfront home, relocating to Florianópolis, or building a long-term investment portfolio. Honest guidance, clear communication, and a level of service that makes every client feel supported from our first conversation to long after the transaction is complete.
